Highline Public Schools Education Levy Renewal - Nov. 2, 2021 Wordmark logo

The four-year levy would provide $208.5 million for educational needs not fully funded by the state. Prop. 1 would allow the district to collect up to $268 million if the state Legislature raises the levy cap. This will protect critical student services from cuts if the Legislature cuts state funding.

COVID 19 test

One way to keep our schools safe and open is to offer free COVID-19 tests to students, staff and household members. To make it easier and faster to get a COVID test, we are launching a new consent form that can be used for the entire school year. We encourage all families and staff to complete the form now, so if and when you decide to get a test, you are ready.

The Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) and the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) are typically administered in the spring. Due to the pandemic, the tests were postponed until this fall. The fall tests will be reflective of the grade students were in during the 2020-21 school year to assess their prior year of learning. They will take the spring assessment again for their currently enrolled grade level.
